FAO MuNe, the new Food and Agriculture Museum & Network in Rome
On the occasion of World Food Day, the FAO MuNe – Food and Agriculture Museum & Network was officially inaugurated in Rome on 16 October.
The ceremony, presided over by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella and FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu, marked the opening of a 1,300 m² exhibition space that presents the heritage, traditions, and innovations of the agricultural sector through an engaging and contemporary narrative. The museum invites visitors to reflect on the profound relationship between food, agriculture, and humanity, fostering a continuous dialogue between past and future.
LuciOmbre is honoured to have contributed to this international initiative, providing its expertise in lighting consultancy and design, as well as the supply of luminaries.
Acknowledging light not merely as a technical component but as a medium capable of enhancing spaces and preserving their identity, LuciOmbre developed a lighting scheme that accompanies visitors with balance, coherence, and a strong regard for the surrounding environment.
The FAO MuNe is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last admission). Discover the future of food and agriculture through art, nature, and culture by booking your visit HERE.
